Is the National Parking Association a government body?
No. It is an independent, non-governmental association of parking operators and contractors. It has no statutory powers, does not award or evaluate tenders and is not part of any government department. It works with authorities through lawful representation and dialogue.
Who can become a member?
Any individual, proprietorship, partnership, LLP or company that operates or manages parking sites in India — under municipal bodies, development authorities, railways, airports, metro rail corporations, hospitals, malls or private landowners — and agrees to follow the Association's code of conduct. Parking technology and service providers may join as institutional members.
What is the membership fee?
Membership is charged monthly according to category: Operator Member (Individual) ₹500, Operator Member (Firm / Company) ₹1,500 and Institutional / Corporate Member ₹5,000 per month. Applicable taxes, if any, are extra, and fees may be revised by the governing body.
How do I ask the Association for help?
Submit a help request through the member portal, e-mail or helpline with your membership number, a short description of the problem and copies of the relevant documents. The case desk will acknowledge it, review the papers and agree an action plan with you.
Does the Association guarantee success in my case?
No. The outcome depends on the facts, the contract terms, the documents available and the decisions of the authorities or courts. The Association will make sincere efforts on your behalf, but it cannot promise any particular result.
Can the Association get me a tender or influence a tender decision?
No. The Association never seeks to influence the evaluation or award of any tender. Its role is limited to helping members understand the documents and conditions so that they bid responsibly, and to raising general concerns about tender conditions through proper channels.
My contract has been terminated, or I have received a show-cause notice. What should I do?
Do not ignore it. Note the deadline, keep all records and receipts, and contact the Help to Operators desk immediately with copies of the notice and your contract. A written reply within time, and a request for a personal hearing where appropriate, is usually the first step. Courts have repeatedly stressed that adverse action such as blacklisting must follow proper notice and an opportunity of hearing.
Are advocates' fees included in the membership fee?
Initial guidance and document review coordinated by the Association are part of membership. If a matter needs a formal legal notice, litigation or arbitration, the advocate's professional fee is settled directly between the member and the advocate; the Association will try to arrange reasonable terms wherever possible.
Will the Association support members who overcharge or break the rules?
No. Members are expected to charge only the notified rates, display rate boards, issue receipts and behave courteously with the public. The Association does not defend unlawful conduct and may suspend or cancel membership for serious breaches of its code of conduct.
Will my documents and information be kept confidential?
Yes. Documents shared with the Association are used only to assist you. They are shared with a panel advocate or an authority only with your consent, or where required by law.
